Aaron Alexander is a native of Denver, Colorado. Aaron has served in four Special Forces units, performed duty positions as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant, detachment member of a Joint Special Operations Task Unit, Master Trainer in various deployed operational environments, and deployed 7 times in support of contingency operations to Iraq, Afghanistan, as well as multiple European, African, and Middle Eastern countries.


Aaron’s formal military education includes: Basic Combat Training, Advanced Individual Training, Basic Airborne Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Special Forces Assessment and Selection, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Special Operations Combat Medic Course, Special Forces Medical Sergeant Course, Special Forces Qualification Course (Medical Sergeant), Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape Course, Special Forces Senior Leader’s Course, Special Operations Combat Medic Skills and Sustainment Course (x5), Special Forces Advanced Urban Combat Instructor, and the Hostile Forces Tagging, Tracking, and Locating Course. Additionally, Aaron is POST Certified as a Deputy Sheriff in the state of CO.  


His awards and decorations include: The Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medals, (2nd Award) Army Achievement Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with one campaign star, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two campaign stars, National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Noncommissioned Officer’s Professional Development Ribbon, Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Colorado National Guard Foreign Deployment Service Ribbon, Special Forces Tab, Combat Infantry Badge, Parachutists’ Badge, Overseas Training Ribbon, Army Good Conduct Medal, Croatian Parachutists’ Wings, Lithuanian Parachutists’ Wings, and the DEA Meritorious Honor Award.


Instructor Alex spent 20 years in law enforcement, during that time he earned his SWAT certification where he completed numerous SWAT Operation missions and received certifications in the diversionary devices, conducted immediate entry warrants, dealt with hostage situations and barricaded suspects.  Alex later became a SWAT instructor for SOIC. During his time as a police officer Alex was awarded 11 medals: 2 for Valor,  6 for Distinguished Service, 2 Merit awards and the Citizens Appreciate Police award. He also spent several years working the Gang Unit where his primary responsibilities were the prevention of gang related crimes, the investigation of gang related crimes, intelligence gathering of all gangs operating in the state of Colorado.


Alex also worked as a private military contractor and later founded his own security company and tactical training company. These companies provided services domestically and internationally, hey also trained foreign military and law enforcement personnel in different aspects of policing and military operations.


After becoming an instructor for Ultimate Training Munitions, Alex founded POC LLC and formulated his Shoot-Don't Shoot training program which he is the founder of.
